December 23rd, 2021—2 Corinthians 5

Christians have a marvelous future to look forward to. While our earthly bodies will fail, we will receive heavenly ones that will last forever. Life will be unending for those in Christ. We will be made new. But more than that, we already are new. We have been transformed from sin to righteousness in the Father’s sight, our rebellion forgiven so that we can be allowed to come into relationship with Him. Our faith in Jesus has led to us being given the presence of the Spirit of God who guides and strengthens us to do the Lord’s will. As the apostle says, it is the love of Christ that makes this possible. His love for us took Him to die on the cross. In return, our love for Him inspires us to live for His glory. That life is so much better, so much fuller than what the world offers. We have to let everyone know so that they can have the opportunity to experience the new creation, too.
